Still trying to get to Mammoth

We were really close.. almost to the cabin. Then we got to a security checkpoint and didn't have chains. I thought I was ok because I had 4-wheel drive. We had to go back to Bishop- about 30 miles back- to get some chains for my car. Now jeff is putting them on- my phone died and jeff's phone was out too so it was charging. Funny that all my other electronics are working right now though. We are ok though... just a little hurdle. What an adventure! And this is Jeff's first time putting on chains! He did awesome.... Heading back up now and should hopefully be there in an hour! Lots of love! Keep your fingers crossed that we don't have any other problems.... HOLLY SNOW! (That was for my buddy Fozzy).

Rose and roger are in los Angeles!

Rose and Roger landed safely last night and I'm so excited to have
them here! Ron couldn't come have dinner but Del came with us and we
had a nice little dinner before we all crashed!

Jeff and I are now in the car on the way to mammoth to meet everyone
else and do some snowboarding! Lots of updates to come.. Love u all

Boat Ride to Two Harbors : Buffalo on Little Harbor

Here are a couple of videos I put together. This one below will show you the hundreds of dolphins we saw swimming along Catalina Island during our boat ride from the main city of Avalon on Catalina Island, up to the town of Two Harbors. From there, we had to take the safari bus to our camp site on Little Harbor. We were a little far from the dolphins, but you can still see all of them jumping nonetheless!

This video was of the buffalo encounter we had on one of our hikes. Ok- well it wasn't so much an encounter- than it was that we spotted them from our campsite and had to go see if they were actual buffalo. Although later that night, while Jeff was hunting for sticks to make smores (which is very important!) - he did have an encounter of his own!

Our View: Little Harbor, Catalina Island

This past weekend was one of the best weekends ever. Jeff and I went camping at Little Harbor, on Catalina Island, and it felt like we were the only people there. During one of our hikes, we stopped to just soak in the scene-- and this was one of them. I took 7 shots to get this... and I stitched them together so you could really take in the scene- although I still think this does NOT do it justice. To top it off, it was a balmy 72 degrees and high 50s at night... it was perfect weather! More to come...

Happy presidents day!

With Jeff and kids at the Santa Monica beach pier today in celebration
of the holiday! It's a gorgeous, warm day today! We are going to ride
the rides later!

Superbowl Sunday 10k: Redondo Beach

So this past Sunday, before the AWESOME game, a group of us ran the Redondo Beach 10k (along with 10,000 other people)! After finding out the SAINTS were going to be in the game, we decided to make shirts and run in Saints jerseys in honor of them! After a couple of craft nights (that Andrea LOVED!)... the shirts were done!
We were missing Ubaldo and Chad in this picture... and hope they make it next year! We were all players and the back of our shirts had their name and number... except for McLovin that had to be different than the rest of us!

It was such a fun race- but it wasn't as easy as you would think! There were two decent hills at mile 1 and 5- and the one at mile 5 really counts as 2 back to back-- not to mention the mile incline in the beginning of the race. I didn't finish under an hour (my goal time) - but I did finish in 1:05. I really think the inclines I was doing at the gym helped me beat these hills and I wasn't even sore the next day. I did enjoy that last mile or so along the pacific- the views helped me to keep on going.

Thanks for the Lovin boys for getting up super early (once again) to cheer me on! Next time, I hope we can all do one together. Geaux Saints!

SMARTY Event @ Fred Segal

Another amazing event and the panel rocked. I get so inspired by these
ladies and I don't think I could keep going like I do if it wasn't for
these pow wow nights. It helps to hear the struggles that these now
huge brands went through and u think to yourself - I can do it! Go

SMARTY: Foundation Course Winter 2010

I am part of an incredible group of women entrepreneur's and business women called SMARTY. Being part of this group, you have access to these classes called Foundation Courses where you really get a chance to get intimate with 9 other women who are all trying to do the same thing you are-- get your business or idea off the ground! Being part of SMARTY has been great meeting very cool women and going to awesome events, but being part of the Foundation Course- especially this specific one- took membership to the next level!

Tonight was our last night together as a group and we had everyone there except Kala, who was in India and Leah. The picture above shows you the meeting room where we met every Tuesday night in Santa Monica. I will truly miss our Tuesday night gatherings and just being in the presence of these women-- and Amy Swift who is the founder (not pictured) and led our group. It was inspiring, motivational really helped me think about my business in a way I never did before. We had such a great time and got along so great that Ginna (second to the left), is going to host a reunion for all of us at her place on March 2nd! I hope we continue to get together to talk about our successes!!!

A Day @ Laguna Beach

This past weekend, we spent Saturday on the beach and Sunday in the snow at Mountain High! Nowhere else can you do that and I definitely will never take that for granted. We had such a great time and it was a perfect day with bright sunshine! We played A LOT of paddle ball, flew kites, played in the sand and played at the little jungle gym that they had there on the beach. It was a full day!

This was the first day that the sun peeked out after a whole week of rain so we were all excited to be outside. Chops was too cute-- he met Matisse-- a very cute little French kid, who was his "new best friend." They played together all afternoon and held hands as they ran around the jungle gym. We hope to run into him again when we come back! Chops still talks about him, but can't seem to remember his name!
Click here to see the pictures to the full set on Flickr! We hope to be back there soon but since there has been so much snow falling, we are going to try and go sledding as much as we can so we will be heading out to Mountain High again this weekend.
