We asked this month’s Peer to Peer leader Riza Ayson of TextingForward the top 5 reasons for entrepreneurs to consider mobile marketing:
Reach your customers on the one device that is with them 24/7- their mobile phone!
Start building your mobile database. Much like collecting email addresses were important years ago, collecting mobile numbers is more important today…. of course- only by having them opt-in! Remember to follow the Mobile Marketing Association (the MMA) guidelines!
3. GET PERSONAL:
Clients and potential clients are accustomed to receiving text messages from friends, family and colleagues as a means of communication. It’s a personal way for them to send quick messages back and forth without making a call or composing an email. Customers who opt-in to receive text messages from businesses are signing up to enhance their relationship with that business.
Your customers take their mobile phones with them everywhere they go! If you need to send timely notices (meeting times/location has changed, last minute sale, trying to fill last minute empty seats/tables)- there is no better way to reach them fast and effectively than by sending a text message!
5. GO GREEN:
Stop printing your coupons, direct mail pieces or even sending out letters- not to mention save money on postage! Send text messages/mobile coupons instead. You can save a lot of money AND trees!
